HPC Water Testing Red Samplers ensure that your dental unit is continually producing the correct quality of water. We recommended you check your dental unit water every 3 months. Using these updated dry media samplers, you can perform an accurate in practice test and be given a quantitative reading of the level of chlorine stressed bacteria currently present in the water.
 
The pass level is equal to or less than 100 c.f.u. per ml. i.e. less than 100 dots! This is the current EU Drinking Water standard (EU Directive 98/83).

The HPC Red Test Sampler contains m-HPC medium for recovery of aerobic bacteria, non stressed as well as stressed. Organism Appearance Colonies appear glistening and translucent or transparent. Colours vary from colourless to white, cream yellow or occasionally pigmented. Magnification of colonies is recommended.
